Grecia Gabriela Garcia Camacho

Grecia Garcia Camacho is an upcoming graduate of the master’s program in Education, Culture, and Society at DePaul. She was born and raised in Mexico and completed her bachelor’s in Psychology there. After college, she worked at a teacher training organization, assisted in the training and facilitation of different activities, and became interested in education. During the summer of 2023, Grecia collaborated with the Social Transformation Research Collaborative (STRC) housed in LAS at DePaul University and found her calling. Grecia desires to work in education outside traditional schooling environments and support young minds and social justice through arts and radical pedagogies at museums, nonprofits, and other organizations. Grecia recently completed a year as a Graduate Assistant at DePaul with the Department of Teacher Education, Kinesiology, and Educational Studies within the College of Education. Through her work in this role, Grecia supports both the Stockyard Institute and the Learning Studio Initiative.
