Kirk Anderson

Kirk Anderson is a long time theatre artist in Chicago. In 2015 he founded Facility Theatre Company along with Shawna Franks and Maria Stephens. Since that time, Facility produced six theatrical presentations including most recently, Catherine Anne Toupin’s “Right Now” which was nominated for eight Joseph Jefferson awards, winning Best Ensemble and Best Supporting Actress (Shana Franks). In 2019 Facility found a permanent home in Humboldt Park and began renovation to it’s new home with an expected completion by Summer 2024. Facility has hosted numerous groups and events in the space including a BIPOC Play Series in August 2020. Prior to the founding of Facility Theatre Kirk was a member of both European Repertory Theatre and TUTA. His play "The Jewels” was produced by TUTA under his direction. He has worked with many of Chicago's theatre companies. Performing in Facility’s production of “Phoebe In Winter” and “The Ruse Of Medusa and Right Now” Other Chicago credits include "Between Riverside And Crazy”, "The Diary Of Anne Frank", "Huck Finn", "Lady Madeline", "Uncle Vanya” “Penelope" Fight choreographer.
